July Community Get Together 2009
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Churchill Five Forks Volunteer Department held a pot luck and community get together on Saturday, July 4 at the fire station.
Jean Houston presented a check to Chief Robbie Ross for $4000 for the station and $1000 toward kitchen renovation.
Chief Ross then led a discussion on the plans to expand the capability of the fire station now that we have water in the district.
The meeting concluded with the traditional ride on the fire trucks provided by the volunteer fire fighters.
Meetings
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Churchill-Five Forks VFD meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the firehouse to plan fundraising activities and dinners with the firemen and their families. Ladies in our district are encouraged to join our group. Your husband does not have to be a fireman in order for you to join the Ladies Auxiliary.
Projects
Our fund-raising activities during the year enable the Ladies Auxiliary to purchase much-needed equipment for the firemen and the first responders.
